THE BRIEF
UffiziKids wishes to be the reference point for all those who deem culture to be essential for personal growth. We were asked to create a stand-alone identity that could mark all activities designed for the younger population, across the Galleries.
THE SOLUTION
The name is self-explanatory and the visual complementary. We created a simple straightforward sign, that everyone would understand: a smiley face. This emoticon makes room to individual emotional experiences. By recreating the smiley, kids will give it their personal unique touch, that symbolises their individuality, the basis for their growth as people and citizens.
Dedicated personnel will support users and visitors as they make use of the activities, materials and services offered online and on-site. This visual identity builds on the Galleries’ brand identity. A specific chapter of the brand manual provides the guidelines.
The desks, the drawings, the moustaches, the beards, the glasses, the hair and the colours can be used to compose stories, giving kids the opportunity to create and narrate. At the same time, the smiley represents the symbol of human interaction and playing. The kids can create their art pieces, that can be taken home, posted on social media, reproduced and shared with family and friends.
